Have You Missed Me?

Hello? Anybody out there?

I haven't been inspired to post a damn thing lately. I don't know why - everything is in bloom and flowering around me which should perk me up and inspire me, but it's not - at least not in this medium. I have started running again with the family, though. Yesterday we ran in the park for probably 2 miles. I'm considering doing my first 5K next weekend since it's on campus and supports a local, student-run clinic which serves East Nashville's poor, uninsured population. I know I won't be fast, but that's not really the point, is it?

I cooked the most simple black bean tacos the other night and I kid you not I have been craving them ever since. They are so simple and CHEAP! Try them if you are on a budget and want an easy weeknight meal. You won't regret it.

What else? My mom is coming to visit in a few weeks so I'm starting to show Claire pictures of her so she'll remember her and call her "Mo-Mo" when she's here. So far, so good. I look forward to seeing her see Claire (if that makes sense) and interacting with her since she's so fun right now.

Our elderly neighbor is named Don and whenever he pulls out of his driveway, Claire goes to the window and says, "bye, bye Don". Except her "Don" comes out more like "Gone". Now she's started saying bye, bye gone to everything that she leaves behind (her bunny, me, Huz, an airplane flying by...). Adorable.

My description of Claire's hair this morning after I attempted to wrangle it into ponytails? A bird's nest contained.

Huz and I are going to a Gala at his school tomorrow night and I need to decide on a dress. If I show you some (I can try them on and post pictures tonight) will you vote and help me decide?
