Stress
Some of you faithful readers have inquired about how Cambridge is doing. Well, not so good. Don't panic - the surgery went well and her wound is healing just fine. In fact, she got the sutures taken out this morning, so her stomach (which I've affectionately referred to as a football all week) is doing fine. The problem now is that she has a viral infection in her eye and doesn't feel good AGAIN. Ug. We adopted a wonderful cat, but she also happens to have many health issues.Once a cat is a virus carrier, they always are. They may never show symptoms or, like Cambie, they may occasionally get sick when faced with stress. There's a lot of that going around lately. Clearly the surgery caused her stress and I'm currently stressed because of the move so she's probably stressed because of me. Stress, stress, and more stress. I'll share more about my moving woes at the end of the day when, hopefully, the mess we are in is cleared up. Let me just say this: sometimes saving a buck isn't the best option. I should have just bought a plane ticket and gone down to Nashville to find a suitable apartment for us to live in, rather than attempted to do it from afar. |
